Capsule endoscopy: indications and results

Colonoscopy is regarded as the gold standard for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening. In this lecture, Prof. J. Deviere presents the PillCam capsule endoscopy as an alternative approach for screening large populations. He reports a pilot evaluation in humans of the safety, feasibility, and performance of colon capsule endoscopy as compared to colonoscopy.
