GERD and feeding problems in neurologically impaired children (NIC): gastrostomy and jejunostomy
Authors
Abstract
Neurologically impaired children with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are usually treated by a fundoplication and a gastrostomy (FG); however, this approach is associated with a high rate of complications and morbidity. In this lecture, Professor Ciro Esposito reviews the indications, results and complications of different approaches used in the treatment of neurologically impaired children with GERD.
