Laparoscopic varicocoelectomy is a highly successful method to correct varicocoeles in young males. It can be performed safely and rapidly as an outpatient procedure and allows early return to normal activity. As with the open Palomo technique, there are associated complications that may require a second surgical procedure if correction is warranted.
