Open surgery has been the time-honored treatment for pediatric inguinal hernia. Laparoscopic surgery (LS) has emerged as an alternative in its management. In this lecture, Dr. Paul Philippe demonstrates that LS is an efficient procedure with the potential to decrease the true but hidden complications of hernia surgery in children.
