New diagnosis and treatment of early colorectal cancer – magnified and supermagnified endoscopic diagnosis
Authors
Abstract
The advances in colonoscopy allow the diagnosis of early-stage colorectal cancers. Magnifying colonoscopy is useful for diagnosing histologic types by assessing the microstructure of the mucosal surface in detail. This is a very telling lecture in which Prof. Kudo presents different methodologies in detecting the various types of early colorectal cancer: magnifying endoscopy, chemo-endoscopy and endocytoscopy.
