Part 2. Adrenal incidentaloma
Authors
Abstract
Adrenal incidentalomas are noted in up to 5% of patients who undergo abdominal imaging for unrelated reasons.
The proper evaluation of these patients requires an understanding of the differential diagnosis, biochemical workup, and radiologic features of benign and malignant adrenal tumors.
Adrenalectomy is reserved for patients with hyperfunctioning tumors and for potentially malignant lesions.
