Transanal endoscopic TME with laparoscopic assistance for rectal cancer

The feasibility and safety of Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) transanal endoscopic rectosigmoid resection using transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM) was previously demonstrated in human cadavers and in porcine survival models. In this lecture, Dr. Sylla presents the application of this technique in humans.
