VR-Render WeBSurg LE

2D / 3D direct rendering software

  • VR-Render WeBSurg Limited Edition (WLE) is a free IRCAD Image Viewer Software that works on Windows and MacOS.
  • It allows to visualize 3D-modeled patients and also DICOM images. Three kinds of visualization are possible: 3D model visualization, 2D Dicom visualization and 3D Dicom direct volume rendering.
  • You can use VR-Render WLE to visualize 3D models of patients provided by WeBSurg in link with a video or a surgical technique.
  • You can also use VR-Render WLE to visualize your own DICOM medical images of patients in 2D or in 3D thanks to the user-friendly direct volume rendering.

However, this VR-Render WeBSurg version is a limited edition due to the fact that this freeware is not CE-marked or FDA-approved for clinical use. IRCAD plans to obtain such approval in the future and will then provide a new unlimited version, including new options that you may need. In the same line, the 3D-modeled patient could be in the future your own clinical case. The implementation of such a service will depend on the success of this first version and on your own requests. Feel free to provide us with your comments on the possible options and services that could be integrated in the future.

VR-Render WLE has been developed in the PASSPORT project, eHealth project cofunded by the European Commission within the ICT-2007.5.3 research area, and following the Eurekà E! 3184 ODYSSEUS project.
