Hysteroscopy has a crucial role in evaluating endometrial changes related to adenomyosis. Biopsy of the sub-endometrial myometrium is another opportunity of the hysteroscopic approach. Excision and/or bipolar coagulation of adenomyotic cysts protruding into the cavity and resection of adenomyotic polyps could also be performed by hysteroscopy only.
