The pathogenesis of ovarian cancer is still debated and new evidence supports that ovarian tumors originate from tubes. This lecture demonstrates several different theories about the origin of ovarian cancer focusing on the relevance of histology on therapeutic schemes. The different approach to a type II or I ovarian tumor is delineated through two clinical cases.
