Appendiceal tumors are unusual. They represent 0.4 to 1% of all digestive tumors. Among neuro-endocrine tumors of the digestive tract, 17% are localized in the appendix. They are found in 0.7 to 1.4% of all appendectomies. The diagnosis is usually made by the pathologist, in a specimen of acute appendicitis. This clinical case is that of a young lady with a carcinoid tumor of the appendix.
