This is the case of a 66-year-old woman complaining of dysphagia, regurgitation, and epigastric pain since 5 years. A CT-scan and an upper GI series demonstrated a large paraesophageal hernia, which was associated with a diaphragmatic hernia. An upper endoscopy shows the absence of esophagitis nor gastric lesions. Decision was made to take the patient to the OR to perform a hiatal hernia repair and a repair of the diaphragmatic hernia.
